MFI - Multi-Fiber Identifier
The Multi-Fiber Identifier (MFI) is engineered to identify digitally encoded laser light within optical fiber ribbons typically found in FTTx installations. Activation is achieved by placing the ribbon under examination into the clamp and engaging the trigger situated beneath the MFI. The LCD screen then displays the assigned fiber identification number.
The MFI detects the digitally encoded data bursts transmitted by the Multi-Fiber Transmitter (MFT) when clamped onto the ribbon fiber being tested.
MFT - Multi-Fiber Tracer
The Multi-Fiber Tracer (MFT) is equipped with a single MTP connector and features twelve-fiber sourcing capability. It operates with 12 independent laser sources (1550 nm single-mode) and incorporates an MTP fan-out connector. Encased in a lightweight yet durable housing, it ensures ease of handling. Its user-friendly single-button operation facilitates rapid signal transmission through the network, enabling automatic fiber identification for MFI (Multi-Fiber Identifier) and MFP (Multi-Fiber Power Meter) functionalities.
